Apologies for yet another baseball-related post–we’ll branch out this afternoon, promise–but Steve Rebagliati, the De Anza baseball player already suspected of sexually assaulting a woman at his house party earlier this month, is now facing felony hit-and-run charges, according to KCBS.com.
The crash occured on the same day as the alleged sexual assault, when the 20-year old Rebagliatti made “an unsafe turn on Interstate 280 near Saratoga Avenue that caused two other vehicles to crash.” Rebagliatti did not stop, but an astute motorist recorded his license plate number. Because injuries were involved in the crash, the hit-and-run incident is being treated as a felony.
It’s almost as if lil’ Stevey already thinks he’s a pro athlete. Here’s hoping justice is served.
