Mike Nolan Dresses Well

We meant to get to this earlier in the week, but Esquire recently named Coach Mike Nolan as the 11th best dressed man in the entire world, which makes him a pretty darn good dresser. Not as good as Tom Brady, but good nonetheless.

Still, the fashionable coach (who still plans to wear a suit at all home games this year) is in excellent company, considering the wealth of high-profile athletes, actors, presidents and all-around “heart-throbs”  on the list:

1: Tom Brady, football player
2: Jay-Z, record exec, musician
3: Daniel Craig, actor
4: Barack Obama, U.S. senator, presidential candidate
5: André Balazs, hotelier
6: Nicolas Sarkozy, French president
7: Hidetoshi Nakata, former soccer player
8: Ryan Gosling, actor
9: Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Ferrari president
10: Hamid Karzai, Afghan president
11: Mike Nolan, football coach
12: Rufus Wainwright, musician
13: David Gregory, journalist
14: Dwyane Wade, basketball player
15: Alejandro González Iñárritu, film director

Even though Nolan might be the “which one of these is unlike the other,” we can’t argue at all with Nolan’s inclusion on the list. We’re thrilled that he’s brought a sense of fashion to the sidelines. We’re not gonna lie: the suit rocks. It’s got gravitas.

Nolan’s plan to dress things up is a welcome change from what fashions coaches have drifted towards in recent decades. Here’s hoping more coaches “follow suit.”
